If you are planning to attend the Conference, it will pay to contact the Conference hotel, the Seattle Sheraton, and see if there are any rooms as a few have become available from time to time.  Of course, you are also free to consider any other options available in the Seattle-Tacoma region.  Note that a new light rail system runs between Sea-Tac airport with multiple stops along the way, costs $3.25 each way, and runs about every 15 - 20 minutes.  The Westlake light rail station is two blocks from the Sheraton and is an easy walk.  See www.soundtransit.org for more information.

The Conference planning is in high gear now.  We are looking forward to one of the best conferences, ever, from the breadth of topics, to the great film festival, to our evening entertainment.  Information on the film festival will be coming out shortly.

If you are interested in LIVE!, our streaming service for about 63 talks, including the keynote address by Dr. Devin Naar, the Banquet presentation by “The Legal Genealogist”, Judy Russell, and many other top presentations, there is still time to buy the package at a substantial discount.  Following the Conference, all of the LIVE! talks will be available on demand for three months.  The audio and slides DVD package is also available now, at a discounted price.  The Conference program, on our website, www.iajgs2016.org, shows which talks will be available on that package, but most of the conference will be available via that medium.

Last, but certainly not least, if you are bringing family or just wish to get out and experience the Seattle area for a day or an evening during the Conference, we have several side trips, available for booking on the Conference website.  Enjoy a wonderful day trip to see beautiful Mt. Rainier, the tallest peak in the northwest, or visit an Indian village reconstruction.  Those and many other trips are available.

Looking forward to seeing you August 7-12!
