Dear Conference Attendees:

 

As mentioned in an earlier posting,  we will have available two representatives from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) for consultations in the Resource Room:

Megan Lewis,  Reference Librarian, USHMM   and Teresa Polin, Museum Curator, USHMM

 

In addition to the USHMM link on the resource room computers with their public information, Megan and Teresa will have dedicated computers for  consultations: The databases that Megan will have are internal databases including: Holocaust  Survivors and Victims, Survivors Registry, International Tracing Service (ITS), in-house digital collection and more. Additionally  they will have the database of photographs including the Bitola also known as Monastir.  These that are not accessible on the Museum’s public computers.  Teresa will be able to speak on documents and artifacts at the Museum. 

 

On Wednesday August 10-ProQuest Day there will not be any consultations available.

 

To make certain that you get a chance to consult with either Megan Lewis and Teresa Polin we will have set up in the Resource Room sign-up sheets.

 

The times that USHMM representatives are available are:

 

Monday August 8:      9AM-12 noon and 1:30 PM to 6PM

Tuesday August 9      9AM-12 noon and 1:30 PM to 6 PM

Thursday August 11  11AM-1:30PM, 3:00PM-5:00PM

 

A similar posting will be made in late July as a reminder.

 

An email about the consultation hours for Yad Vashem was previously posted to the discussion group.
