Is there a train, light rail, bus or hotel van that will get us from the airport to the conference hotel?
Yes, it's easy and inexpensive to get to the hotel from the airport using the regional light-rail system. Follow the signs from the terminal; it's a several-minute walk along a pedestrian path through the parking garage. Google Maps says to take Link Light Rail to the University Street stop, although I'd think that the next stop after that, Westlake, would work pretty well, too. Either stop leaves you approximately three blocks from the hotel. Seatac is the first stop on the line, and it's the only line, so there's little to puzzle through. Buy a single-ride fare from the machine and just hold on to whatever the machine gives you. There's no turnstile. The fare is no more than about $3; a taxi is about $40 and shuttle buses are in between.
